Last night I was informed with horrible news that no best friend ever wants to hear. One of my best friends Lauren has suffered a very tragic loss. The guy she has been dating for a couple of months was killed in a head on colission last night on the way back to school in Kennesaw. This guy made Lauren very happy and I am thankful for the times he made her smile and laugh. I was not lucky enough to have ever met Ike but I wish I could have. He has touched so many hearts and he will be greatly missed. During this time, I am praying for my best friend to gain strength through this tough time. I am also praying for the Thomas family, the Bennett family, the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, as well as each of Ike's friends. God has plan for every one and sometimes it is difficult to understand. I know no words can make Lauren feel better and that kills me. I would love nothing more than to hold her and cry with her. Lauren has many friends and family members supporting her and I know with God's help she can get through this. To all of my readers, please keep Lauren in your prayers as well as Ike's friends and family. Throughout this event, I have taken time to pray and have realized how thankful and appreciative I am for everyone in my life. You never know when someone could be taken from you. God works in mysterious ways that we may not understand, but he has a plan for everyone. I know a very special angel is watching over Lauren now. May God be with guiding you Ike. You will be forever loved and missed.
"I am leaving you with a gift -- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid." John 14:27

Happy Friday!
Happy Friday everyone!! I hope everyone managed to have a good week! As you know, Blake and I were lucky enough to go to the Master's last Sunday. The day started very early.. and when I mean early I mean 5 a.m.! We were on the road by 6 a.m. and it only took us about an hour and half to get there. We stopped on the way there and I had my first ever breakfast at Hardee's. It was yummy needless to say! As soon as we walked into the front gates of Augusta National Blake and I were like kids in a candy store with our eyes wide open and our jaws probably open as well. The place was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The grass looked "spray painted" as Blake would say. Every flower was perfect in size and color, there wasn't a spec of trash on the ground... the place was perfect. We decided to go straight to the golf shop to see what we could pick up and boy did we pick up a lot. About 7 shirts, 5 hats, a flag, keychain, and other goodies later we were ready to watch some golf! We watched the first couple people tee off on the first hole then decided to walk around for a little bit before coming back to the first hole to watch Tiger. We walked around and watched some of the players and had a really amazing time. At 1:40 Tiger teeded off and it didn't slow down from there! I always considered golf a slow sport... but not when I am running behind my boyfriend trying to keep up while he is running behind Tiger. We followed Tiger every hole and boy did he make a comeback! The tournament was getting very intense... oh and extremely hot. Needless to say I had an AMAZING time and definitely want to go back, but I will wear different shoes next time that for sure. A chair is also a much needed accessory for our next trip to the Master's. Blake had an amazing time and I was so glad I got to take him and experience it with him. We will definitely go back again!
I wish I had pictures to share with you but unfortunately no camera's were allowed :( I hope everyone has a safe fun-filled weekend! XOXO

Master's here we come!!!
I wanted to be able to get Blake Master's tickets for part of his birthday but with our busy schedules and us having more than 2 test the week of the Master's, I just thought it wouldn't work out. I knew for a fact we weren't going to be able to go, and I wanted nothing more than to be able to give this to Blake because I knew how much it meant to him. Well... I got a phone call and the guy we had originally asked for practice rounds tickets said he would let us know when he could possibly give us some. Well turns out we couldn't have gone to the practice rounds anyways with all of our tests, and I knew trying to find tickets for the Master's this weekend would be nearly impossible. Tickets are going for thousands of dollars on ebay, and being a college student... I cannot afford that! And might I add... that would be a DANG good birthday present. Well while I was sitting in the doctors office, my mom called to notify me that the guy called and he doesn't want the tickets for Sunday. SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!!!! Sunday being the final round of the 2011 Master's Tournament and Blake and I get to go!!!!! We get to spend the whole day walking the course and enjoying the tournament. I was truly ecstatic and thought it was a joke. I could not believe it all played out, but I am sure glad it did. So therefore, I think I win best girlfriend award for taking my boyfriend to the final round of the most anticipated and most prestige golf tournament. Go me, Go Mom, and Go John for all the help! And thanks to Mr. Master's Man (We will leave his name unknown) for making me make my boyfriend one happy boy!! I cannot wait to go and take pictures. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I cannot wait to spend it with Blake.

Good to Go!
This week has consisted of me doing nothing but studying, driving, and attending doctor's appointments. After many many doctor's appointments I am glad to say that everything is A-OKAY! I had a mole that didn't look normal removed on monday, and we got the results and it was cancer free! After many many months of back pain, I finally had a mri done on thursday. Dr. Gordon concluded I have a pertruding disk in my lower back but it will heal on its own over time. A little physical therapy may be needed but nothing serious. Today at the dermatologist I was able to get a chemical peel to help with my recent breakouts from the medicines I have been on. With a couple chemical peels and antibiotics, my skin should be back to normal in a couple of months. After all of these appointments, I am just glad to be healthy. I may have some little sicknesses here and there but overall I am alive and healthy. I thank God every day for giving me my health and strength. God is great!! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
