Hunt's Play Day!

The other night Blake and I decided to buy Hunt a pool so he could play in the water and get used to it before we took him straight to the lake this Summer. Today we decided to see how it would like it, and sure enough he loved it! We kept throwing his toys in the pool and he jumped in and out with no problem. He was a happy pup thats for sure!

William's 27th Birthday

Yesterday was William's 27th birthday!! Man he is getting old :) Blake and I were able to drive to Gwinnett and celebrate with my parents, William and Amanda. I was so glad I got to spend time with my brother on his birthday! We had cookie cake and exchanged gifts... then I started complaining my eye was hurting and felt weird. Well about 20 minutes later, I go to the bathroom and WAM! Swollen almost shut. It has got to be shrimp! Last time we ate at longhorn I had an allergic reaction and was itching all over... well this time my eye was swelling shut including the left side of my face. I took some benadryl immediately and Blake ended up driving us home. I kept ice on my eye all last night but today when I woke up it is still pretty nasty looking. Not quite sure what is going on with all of my sicknesses but I would greatly appreciate if they went away! Thank goodness we didn't need to use the epi-pen (although Blake is dying to pop me with it) :). Minus the eye swelling, William's birthday dinner was very enjoyable and we were so glad we got to spend time with him celebrating!

Hunt

Most of you know how devastated we all were when Blake's dog Dale was killed. He was Blake's best friend and I loved Dale like he was my own. He was the most well behaved dog and was so incredibly protective over Blake. We still miss Dale, but our now being entertained with Blake's new addition Hunt who is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever! Hunt is full of personality and is wild as anything! Blake's mom had previously took Hunt to the vet while we were on spring break but he was still to young to get any of his shots. Well on Friday, Blake and I drove home to Habersham to take Hunt to his vet appointment. He socialized with other dogs in the vet but was minding Blake so well. When Blake told him to sit next to him he did. He is learning AND growing so fast! He weighs 20.4 pounds and is only 9 weeks old! They said he would be well over 100 pounds. He is loved by everyone in the vet and they said he is an amazing dog and is super healthy! YAY! As we were walking out, the lady who grooms all of the Dalton's dog pointed out something special for us that we didn't notice when we walked in. In the lobby there was a collage of dogs from Christmas after they got groomed, and right there in the middle was precious Dale. I know Dale would love Hunt because he has brought happiness back into Blake's life.

Safety First!

So after hearing about some recent break-ins, I got to thinking. If I was home by myself and someone broke in, what would I do? I have no gun, knife, baseball bat, taser, pepper spray, or really any type of weapon. So... what did I do? I called my parents and asked them the same thing. What would I do? Well they realized what a mistake we have been making and thank goodness nothing ever happened... because if something would have happened I would have been out of luck. I hoped in my little Jeep and drove over to Franklin Gun Shop. No, no... I didn't buy a gun. Although I want one, I don't think I am quite mature for one! The people were very helpful and I picked myself out a cute little pepperspray that looks like lipstick (but bigger)! How cool! It can shoot up to 12 feet away, it can keep the attacker down for as long as 45 minutes, and is easy to use. So girls... ask yourself what you would do and be prepared! Take precautions  and get yourself something to defend an attacker away!

Well here is one special to me because it includes the people I love in my life. My family is number one and I am one of the luckiest girls in the world to have such an amazing family. So here you have... The Corley Crazies :)
