The first week of june was kinda hectic for me and thats probably why I have been slacking so much! The Wednesday before Blake's birthday we sent Hunt to obedience/hunting school. It is past Cartersville, so it is a pretty good drive when there is traffic. We dropped him off and tears quickly filled my eyes. I know Hunt is technically Blake's dog... but we both consider it our dog. Hunt has grown to be one of my own I feel like and I miss him already. Three months is just way to long to not have your puppy around. It is definitely a long time, but when he comes back he will be so well-mannered and able to hunt with Blake during hunting season. We are allowed to visit Hunt whenever we want, but we are waiting for a couple of weeks so we can really see what he has learned. We call the trainer often and he always expresses how great Hunt is doing and how quickly he is learning. I am so grateful that Brian (the trainer) calls and sends pictures. It definitely makes the whole experience easier. We are looking forward to visiting Hunt one day soon!
June 4th was Blake's 20th birthday and it was a very special weekend for all of us. Friday we went to the Dillard House for dinner and ate with his entire family. It was my first Dillard House experience, and boy was it yummy! After dinner, we headed up to the lake for a fun filled weekend celebrating Blake's birthday :)
I knew the second we left the trainers that Blake already missed Hunt. Once you get so close to a pet they are hard to leave every time. Me being the cheesy person I am, I decided to make a card and act like it was from hunt. I explained that Hunt was having a great time at school and couldn't wait to see Blake again. I thought Blake would express how stupid I was, but deep down I figured he would appreciate it. I was wrong! He loved it from the very first second, and told me it was his favorite thing he received on his birthday. The little things are the ones that always make the biggest smiles
This is the cake I made Blake. I decided to get out the cake decorating tools and get a little artsy. I had fun baking... and the cake was delicious!

Reading the card from Hunt. I love this picture.. you can really see how happy I get when I see him happy
The gifts from Hunt. The picture are the left is the card I made from Hunt. A hunting-inspired picture frame of Hunt to put in Blake's new bedroom. Blake has wanted this Master's hat since the day we got it back in April. He had to wait though!

Tomorrow, Blake is having oral surgery on his tooth from a mishap many years ago. I pray that God holds Blake's hand throughout his surgery tomorrow and gives him strength for an easy and pain free surgery. I will be right next to Blake tomorrow afternoon to give him comfort and support. Although I hate that it has to be on these terms, I am ecstatic to see my Blakey tomorrow. Everyone please keep Blake in your prayers as he gets put to sleep tomorrow during surgery.
The next couple of weekends are very busy for us, but we are definitely looking forward to them! This weekend my family, Blake, and I are packing up and going to Tennessee for one of my cousins wedding. The weekend of the fourth, Blake and I are going to switch off going to each other's lake house. We are splitting up the weekend. Then its smooth sailing from there... nothing but the BEACH! I am so excited to be able to spend two weeks at the beach with Blake this year. I am so incredibly luck and cannot wait to make many new memories with Blake, The Daltons, and The Corleys.
